Jessica’s Story

Hello, my name is Jessica and I would like to tell you how Helpers of God’s Precious Infants helped me out.

It all started when I was homeless with my 4 kids and I was 5 months pregnant. I felt hopeless to say the least. I was losing faith in God because I didn’t understand why He would put me through this at such a vulnerable time in my life. I contemplated getting an abortion, but I kept praying to God and asking Him to get me through and into a house so that I could be the mother I knew I could be for my kids. We were in a temporary shelter and could only stay for one more week.

One day I went out looking for housing and I ran into a girl who must have seen the worry all over my face. She asked me what was wrong and everything poured out of my mouth and into her heart. She immediately called Mary Anne and put me on the phone with her. Mary Anne came to meet me within hours! I now call Mary Anne my angel.

I was thanking God that He sent her to me. She assured me that abortion was the wrong choice and gave me hope for a better future. I found Section 8 housing but I needed to pay a security deposit I couldn’t afford. Helpers paid part of it and they furnished the entire house with donations from lovely people like you who are reading my story now. You guys make a difference in the lives of so many women and children! After I was settled in the house I found a job but had no money to get to the 3 days training required. Once again Helpers stepped in and paid for the transportation.

I delivered my beautiful daughter, Eliza, in June and was home on maternity leave. I needed help with food and rent since my disability check was delayed. And when I started work again I needed help with transportation until my first paycheck arrived. Helpers have done so many great things for my kids and me. I am proud to say that with your help I will be starting college in the spring. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Helpers and you loyal donors. You guys are true blessings for my family and me!
